The excavator digs the basement.
City sewer and water lines are extended from the curb
to the basement excavation and then the trench is filled in and retamped.
The cribbing company puts in the footings and the basement walls.
Weeping tile, tar and gravel are placed before backfill.
The basement has to sit 5 to 8 days before dirt is back filled
around exterior and garage.
The gravel is placed in garage and basement floors.
An application for city power needs to be done and hooked
up before the framing of the home can start.
Material is ordered while the framing of home is taking
place which usually takes about 2 or 3 weeks to be completed.
The client's input is needed to insure the proper construction
of their ideas.
During the last couple of days of framing we prepare
to shingle the roof, pour the basement floor, deliver the tub and showers
and install the windows and doors. We also build a deck and apply
first coat of stain or covering.
